Johnathan Williams heard the call to serve others at a young age and enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 17. He served as a Parachute Infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina for 5 years. He served one tour in downtown Baghdad for 15 months as part of 'surge' operations with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment also known as the 'White Falcons'.

He was injured in a parachute accident in 2008 which caused his separation from the service in 2011. Upon completing his enlistment Johnathan Williams began his journey with Northwestern Mutual but also sought to finish his education at North Carolina State University at the Poole College of Management.

Johnathan and his wife, Christina, are very active with their church, Hope Community Church, where they enjoy volunteering with the Children's Ministry. They have been married for seven years and have two beautiful daughters, Haidyn and Callie, and a sweet dog, Bentley.
